Hi, I’m
Abhishek
Linux systems developer & DevOps engineer — building elegant infrastructure from the terminal up, and ricing it for fun.
Things I’ve built
A complete Hyprland desktop environment built over months of iteration on Arch Linux / CachyOS. A production-ready Wayland-native workflow with a cohesive dark theme, custom keybinds, and automation.
This very portfolio — a zero-framework, zero-build static site deployed on GitHub Pages. Dark/light theme, terminal aesthetic, live GitHub counters, and privacy-friendly analytics.
A pair of Bash scripts for rapid GitHub repository bootstrapping. mkgit creates a remote repo via the GitHub API, initializes with a README, and pushes the first commit in one command. mkgit-gh extends the workflow with gh CLI integration for authenticated creation, fork management, and streamlined project setup.
A cross-platform Material You and Base16 color generation tool written in Rust. Generates cohesive color palettes from wallpaper images. The companion matugen-themes repo provides CSS, JSON, and config templates demonstrating integration into various applications and workflows.
Personal Neovim config tuned for data science and everyday development. Features Molten (Jupyter notebooks), nvim-dbee for SQL, Snacks picker & ecosystem, Neogit, Quarto, and a curated LSP setup via Mason.
Who I am & what I do
I’m Abhishek, a computer science student based in New Delhi, India, passionate about Linux systems, open-source software, and building self-hosted infrastructure. I thrive in the terminal and believe in crafting tools that are both functional and elegant.
My daily driver is Arch Linux / CachyOS with Hyprland — a fully custom Wayland compositor setup refined over months. I containerize everything with Docker, automate with Bash, and run analytics stacks like Metabase & Apache Superset on self-hosted infrastructure.
Currently looking for Opportunities in DevOps, systems, or backend engineering — remote-friendly or Delhi-based.
